For 2022, the Nissan Pathfinder has gotten a makeover. It now looks more modern and aggressive, and it will get a lot of attention from Portage area customers. Nissan has made a few other changes as well. The three-row SUV now has a nine-speed automatic transmission, an impressive technology package, and more high-end materials.

The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder comes with many advanced driver-assist technologies. Intelligent forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian detection can all give you greater peace of mind as you drive around the Galesburg area.

Also standard are lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, and a rearview monitor. If you're about to back into an object, the Pathfinder can hit the brakes on your behalf. Plus, the high beams can turn on and off by themselves, depending on how much light there is on the road. Higher trims can have a surround view monitor, blind spot intervention, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control. These various mechanisms can play a key role in helping you stay out of harm's way.

Trim Options

Mattawan area customers can choose from four trims. The S, SV, SL, and Platinum all run on the same 3.5-liter V6 engine. This engine can generate 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, and it gives the SUV a towing capacity of up to 6,000 pounds. These models are attractive to many households in the Kalamazoo area because of the space that they offer. Total cargo capacity is over 80 cubic feet, giving you a lot of flexibility.

Of course, there are some notable differences between the four trims. Below, you'll find more details regarding each.

Pathfinder S

The S looks quite handsome, and it sits on 18-inch wheels. It has a full array of LEDs in its headlights, daytime running lights, and taillights. There are even LED turn signal indicators built into the outside mirrors. You'll love how versatile the cabin is, thanks to the EZ FLEX seating system. It makes it easy to make adjustments depending on whether you're carrying passengers or cargo, or both. What's really great about the S is that it has an eight-inch touchscreen and voice recognition, along with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. SiriusXM can keep everyone entertained, and the four USB ports are very convenient.

Pathfinder SV

The SV has some more functional exterior elements, such as black roof rails and heated outside mirrors. Many people will be intrigued by the SV because it has remote engine start. In addition, the SV comes with a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. While the S is limited to having a bench seat in its middle row, the SV can have either a bench seat or captain's chairs. Some may prefer how open the cabin feels with the captain's chairs.

Pathfinder SL

With the SL, there are a total of five USB ports. A bonus is that the nine-inch touchscreen has integrated navigation. There's SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link, too, which can be useful when figuring out the quickest way from one place to another. Further, there are leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and a power liftgate.

Pathfinder Platinum

Sitting on 20-inch wheels and having chrome accents, the Platinum stands out in a crowd. It has power-folding outside mirrors that have a reverse tilt-down feature to help with parking. It's the only trim to have a memory system for those side mirrors and the driver's seat, and it comes standard with captain's chairs. Beyond this, it has leather seats, heated and cooled front seats, and heated second-row seats. You'll also appreciate its fully digital dashboard, premium audio system, and wireless charging.
