What's New for 2023?

There are five trims for the 2023 model year. The S and SV lead the lineup, followed by the SV Midnight Edition, a special trim with some stylistic enhancements. At the top of the lineup, you'll find the PRO-4X and the sophisticated Platinum Reserve.

Many people in Kalamazoo loved the changes that Nissan made to the Titan when it underwent a redesign for the previous model year. For 2023, the top two trims will have wireless Apple CarPlay. Also, the Midnight Edition trim is back in the lineup. It will catch the eye of local motorists with its black accents.

Design

There are two options when it comes to cabin size. The King Cab is a smaller version, offering about 25 inches of rear-seat legroom. The Crew Cab provides almost 39 inches of rear-seat legroom. It's nice that Kalamazoo customers can decide which configuration suits them the best. Either way, the rear bench would have a 60/40 split configuration and can fold to create more storage space. The front seat can either have a bench seat or a pair of captain's chairs. The truck can accommodate five or six passengers.

The first few trims have comfortable seating areas and convenient features. Trims on the higher end of the lineup can feel refined. For instance, the Platinum Reserve has a power-adjustable steering column, ambient LED lighting, heated and cooled front seats, and premium leather upholstery. Heating elements are also available for its rear seats and steering wheel.

Exterior

With its large frame and big front grille, the Titan looks imposing. In addition, the truck has convenient features, such as cargo bed tie-downs, a spray-on bedliner, and LED cargo bed lights. The PRO-4X comes with many extras, including skid plates and black 20-inch wheels. Some other available components are LED signature headlights, two-tone exterior paint, and a dual-panel panoramic moonroof. It's important to note that the King Cab has a longer bed, and the Crew Cab connects to a standard bed. The difference in bed length is almost a foot.

Performance

A 5.6-liter V8 powers the Nissan Titan. It provides 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, so the Nissan truck feels like it can do almost anything. Customers can choose to get 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrains. The PRO-4X comes standard with 4x4 capability and has an electronic locking rear differential and off-road performance shocks.

Technology

The touchscreen on the Titan can measure eight or nine inches, depending on the trim. It comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as SiriusXM. Voice recognition and multiple USB ports are convenient to have for driving long distances. Select trims come with navigation, Wi-Fi hotspots, and premium audio systems with Fender speakers. Besides the center touchscreen, there's also a 7.0-inch advanced drive-assist display that can show useful information and add a more futuristic feel to the cabin.

Safety

Nissan has given the Titan a multitude of driver-assist technologies. Those amenities include lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and several other monitoring systems. Emergency braking and rear automatic braking are standard, too, and some trims have 360-degree monitors.

The Titan seems to have it all. It could certainly prove to be an excellent choice. You can visit our local Nissan dealership for more information or to schedule your test drive.
